Bali Bliss

Cultural Inspiration

When you're looking for inspiration in a home sometimes you have to escape the norm and allow outside cultures to influence your design. Embracing the energy and creativity from different cultures is especially invigorating when you've seen them first hand. Our inspiration for this post comes to you from Bali, Indonesia.

Bali Style

One of thousands of Islands in the country, this place stands out from the rest. Homes carry the character of the surrounding culture throughout. Dare to dream for a moment and imagine the outdoors welcomed into your home, a place where vegetation, water and the acoustics of nature serenade your soul. Where lavish luxury is experienced in old world flavor. Where intricate textures are found in the beams of wood holding together the exterior. Detail lives in the nature brought into the home. It is a simple way of life. This is Bali bliss…

Linens in Bali have subtle patterns, if any at all. Cool clean crisp and white like the Camille Bed by Matouk are prevalent. This Matouk designed bedding has delicate and feminine details. The linens are pristine white 600 thread count egyptian cotton made in the neighboring Philippines of Italian Fabric.

Bali style is all about accents. Whether it be a craftily chiseled concrete statue of ganesha, meticulously carved headboards, or colorful decorative accent pillows Bali spares no detail in the home.
